2.7 Removable/optional components

You may need to remove previously installed system components when installing

or removing system devices. Or you may need to install the optional components

into the system. This section tells how to remove/install the following components:

1. System fans

2. Optical disk drive (optional)

3. ASUS ASMB5-iKVM (optional)

Ensure that the system is turned off before removing any components.

2.7.1 Chassis fans

To remove the system fan:

1. Place the chassis fans and mylar

module besides the heatsink,

matching the screw holes on the

chassis.

2. Tighten the screws.

3. Connect the chassis fans cable to

the onboard fan connectors labeled

CPU_FAN1 and FRNT_FAN1.
